bereft

No more candles to light...or brothers to open the door to...only empty rooms and rooms with empty chairs...the impulse to fling things too full of memories out into the crisp air...and the impulse just as quickly extinguished...so we make small moves....and wait for them to feel right...knowing there is no rush...yet needing to do something...

Soon, I will know better how to fill my hands and my hours...the first whispers of Christmas are giving me a glimpse...

P.S. Since words aren't coming so easily, you can get a deeper understanding of this post by hovering your cursor over each photo and reading its title at the bottom of the page....xo

Thinking and praying for you.

Dear Lesley, I am in awe of the beautiful words and images with which you have conveyed to us just some of what you and your family are experiencing at this time. It seems to me your mother reaped what she sowed - she was obviously a lovely, special and caring person, and when the time came for her to be cared for (not just in these last few days, but in the long months before)she was able to receive love and care in her turn.
I hope some sense of being held and gathered in the care and concern of your readers is reaching you.
With love, Helen (from W and S)

Lesley, your journey through this time has been such an inspiration, so beautiful with your mom and her connection to the Full Moon, and it was so beautiful this month.
Thanks so much for sharing and I'll be thinking of you.
Take good care of yourself,
Jenni

Praying you find peace and comfort as you work on and complete each task.

Sometimes words just don't seem enough to convey emotions. It's so lovely the blog you have written about your journey with your mom. I've started reading from the beginning. I can only imagine how you feel, even having guests for a few day/ week there is a transition period of missing all the activity that comes with company. wishing you all the best, Isabella
